Courses are developed in partnership with a famous improv comedy club, and honestly, they are pretty entertaining – which can’t really be said for most driver’s training courses! Check out the video below for more info, or keep reading for our full Improv Traffic School review!

The Improv Traffic School Experience
A hilarious video-based course developed by driving experts and improv comics
Improv is not your average dry, boring course provider. The program uses a blend of videos and quizzes, and the videos are narrated by improv comics. The result is videos like this, which teach you actual lessons about safe driving while making you laugh!
This humorous style improves engagement and actually helps you remember the content. It may seem silly, but it’s a style that works quite well, particularly for adults who would be easily bored by traditional classes and may wish to take an Improv defensive driving course to satisfy a court requirement or to get a ticket dismissed.
Everything is completely online and can be completed on your favorite devices. Course requirements will vary from state to state (and depending on the type of course) but ultimately they all follow a similar format and style.
It’s 100% online, but keep in mind that teen driver’s ed is only the in-class portion, so your teen will still have to complete in-person drive times, according to state laws.
How Much Does Improv Traffic School Cost?
Varies by state and course; starting from just $25
No Improv Traffic School review would be complete without pricing info! There’s no quick answer here, however, as each course is priced differently depending on state requirements.
A general rule of thumb is that you can expect to pay around $20-$40 for an adult traffic school class. Driver’s ed courses will be a bit more, as they are typically longer and more involved.
The Good Stuff
The good thing about Improv Traffic School is that it can be done at your own pace, you are the boss! You may pause and come back to the course whenever you want from any other computer.
It is a pretty quality course and it’s simple but very entertaining. Because of the timer required by many court jurisdictions, this school includes very fun games and videos to help your time pass.
The Improv Traffic School has a Triple-A rating from the Business Consumer Alliance and it’s been voted the best online driving school by many media outlets. You are not obligated to give up your credit card number to start, meaning there is no risk. Also, you can start the course for free in many states and pay later.
But, some jurisdictions may require payment upfront, so in this case, you will still get a money-back guarantee up until you take the final exam.
Course Duration and Difficulty
This duration of the course depends entirely on where you got your ticket. If timers are required, it might take you 6 hours or more. If there are no timers required, as it is in California, you could basically go through all of this in 30 minutes.
It would be better for you if you use your laptop or tablet sitting in front of the TV. The longest part is probably waiting for the timer to count down so you can move on to the next thing.
Improv Traffic School has no way of getting around timers that are required at times. If a timer is used in the Improv course, it’ll be used in any other course you sign up for.
Improv Traffic School is the easiest traffic school you’ll ever take. It might be different, but most of the quizzes consist of 2 questions and you only have to get one of them right.
The hardest part about most traffic schools is the boredom factor, but this is super easy. The school really helps make it fun with their videos, games, and cartoons.
The Bad Stuff
The downside of the course is that it isn’t available in all of the states. You need to check if you are eligible for the course. But still, you have to remember that this is a traffic school.
While Improv Traffic School makes it more entertaining, there are things you would rather do with your time.
However, this is about the best online traffic school you can sign up for and there aren’t a whole lot of negatives other than the fact it is still traffic school.
How Long Does MyImprov.com Take?
As short as legally allowed; as little as a few hours!
These courses follow rigid state requirements, which are different in each state. However, they’re always as short as legally allowed, which often means as little as a couple of hours to complete a course.
Is MyImprov.com DMV Approved?
Yes; DMV Approved in most states & court certified as well
Is MyImprov.com legit? It sure is! This platform has served over 3 million customers, and now offers classes nationwide. That said, course offerings do vary from state to state. Some states only have adult driver training and do not offer teen driver’s ed.
Improv Traffic School Review: Bottom Line
Overall, MyImprov.com is a fantastic service. It’s fun, quick, and actually quite funny. We mostly tested the adult traffic school courses, but Improv’s teen driver’s ed courses are also well rated.
There are high chances that you signing up for Improv Traffic School is not a coincidence.
It is true that traffic school isn’t the best thing in the world, but Improv Traffic School is one of the best options you have available! It is very entertaining, easy, and fast, so you won’t get bored.
It certainly beats taking a defensive driving course at your local community college and wasting a Saturday being lectured to about things you probably already know. If you’re thinking about signing up for this school, you are on the right track.
They are amazing!
All courses meet state and court requirements, and are just as legit as your local traffic school – just much cheaper and more convenient!
